The 1 Year Cardiology Appointment

Tuesday was a great day. Cassie brought Connor to the refinery at 2pm so that Dave and I could take him to see his Cardiologist who is located at the Primary Childrens Hospital on the University of Utah campus. We honestly were a little unsure of what to expect this time around. We did not know if Connor would be getting alot of tests performed on him or if it would be a simple checkup. As it turned out it was a simple chest X-ray and a visit with the doctor. Connor was wonderful while the doctor was listening to his heart. For the first time in his entire life, he sat still and did not talk the entire time the doctor was examining him. It amazed me and Dave to no end how perfect he acted. And the end result was great.
The cardiologist says that he hears no sign of any of the three holes. He feels they are gone and Connor is perfectly healthy. We do not have to go back to see him ever again for this issue, unless new signs of the issue are found by the pediatrician. So that was the greatest news to hear as a parent.

We did speak with the cardiologist also about the likelihood of this condition happening again with our next child and we were told it was very small. Obviously we will be on the look out for it again, but it was atleast nice to hear that it was a slim possibility.
