Boating on Lake Brant, NY

Since alot of the wedding guests were going kayaking, we decided to take the boys out in a rowboat. They loved being on the water and rowing with the paddles.

This series of pictures makes me laugh. Connor was not trying to hit Preston in the head but man....it is like watching a three stooges movie with them sometimes.

Playing at the Camp

For Bill and Sue's wedding we stayed at the Point O'Pines Girls Camp on Brant Lake. This was where the most of the wedding guests stayed and also where the wedding and reception were held. If you ever have a chance to go there....DO!! It is amazing!! Here are some pictures of the boys playing at the camp during the course of the weekend. The boys loved running in the large open areas between the cabins at the camp. Playing basketball with Daddy. He Shoots! He Scores!! Preston did not care that the ball was as big as him! He was going to play too!! Playtime at the beach. The lake bottom was very sandy and great for walking into the water. It would have been even better if the lake had been warmer than 60F!! The water was C-O-L-D!! Obviously Connor did not notice the cold water as much as the adults did. Playing in the yard with Dad the morning of the wedding. The boys were playing in the indoor activities building at the camp. This helped them burn off alot of energy before naptime the day of the wedding. This was the first time Connor really kicked around a soccer ball. He is a natural!! We will definitely be looking into a soccer team this fall. Connor was so proud of this large stick he found near the lake. He asked me to take a picture of it for him.

Driving to Camp

We had a roughly 1.5 hour drive from the airport to the camp we were staying at for the weekend. Connor did not nap too well on the airplane so he was cranky for most of the ride. Eventually though he found a way to block everything out and get some sleep. I really do love this kid.

God Bless the Tampa Bay, FL Airport

Our travels to NY for Memorial Weekend included a two hour layover in the Tampa Bay, FL airport. Luckily right near our gate was a pretty big children's play area. The boys spent the entire two hours playing there while Dave and I took turns getting food and handling diaper changes. I honestly know that our trip would have been alot worse had we not had the play area. Both boys were so tired from all the playing they promptly fell asleep on our next plane ride.

I took some pictures of the boys playing on the airplanes. I thought they were so cute. And the boys were so happy that there were other boys there to play with too!

The word "fear" is not in our vocabulary.




This is the boys waiting to board our flight. They loved watching the other airplanes drive around. They kept saying "Bye bye Airplane" when one would drive off. Connor also kept pointing to all of the Southwest Airplanes saying "That's Daddy's Plane!" since he has seen Dave board a Southwest airplane before.

New Pool Toys!!

Today we brought out some new pool toys for the boys to play with. I think they were a big success!! Unfortunately I think we will have to buy another car/boat since both boys loved being in it!!

It Is Haircut Time Again

It makes me so sad that the boys no longer get their hair cut by our neighbor (and friend) Sandy. The boys kept asking when we were going over to see her when we told them they were getting haircuts this morning. The Cavanees are missed so much!!

The new hair salon that cut the boys' hair did a great job though. They look so handsome now!! Even though the boys look miserable, they actually were not. They were just concentrating hard on the Saturday morning cartoons they were watching.
