Abby Learning to Ride

This weekend Dave tried to teach Abby how to ride a bike in our front yard. I can not say that he was successful in teaching her to ride her bike. But it was a fun experience and one I am glad they were able to share.

An Afternoon in the Park

This afternoon I took all three kids to the town park in Layton to play at the playground and go see the ducks. Abby and Jacob had a great time feeding the ducks and playing in the park. Connor slept most of the afternoon but I am sure he will love the park when he gets old enough to play with Abby and Jacob.

Jacob on the monkey-bars. Saddly, he fell off of these monkey-bars shortly after and busted his lip. But he did love playing on them before that happened.

Father's Day 2008

This is the first time I have been able to celebrate Father's Day with Dave where he is the father of our child. I have always given Dave a father's day card to celebrate what a great father I knew he was to Abby and Jacob but this is special to us since this is the first year we have a child together in addition to Abby and Jacob. We are lucky that Father's Day falls during the summer when we have all three kids with us to celebrate. Dave is a wonderful father and I am lucky to be able to have him as my partner in raising the children.
This year we spent the day at the house just hanging out and enjoying our time together. As you can see from the pictures, we set out the slip-n-slid for the kids to play on. It was fun for Dave and I to watch them having so much fun. I hope you like some of the cute pictures I took of the day.

Dave and his adorable kids.

Connor was hungry and not too pleased while getting his picture taken. But Dave was good enough to get him calmed down enough for me to get a picture.

The reason I love Dave so much......He changes diapers!

Some cutie-pie pictures of Connor from that afternoon. Don't you just love his smile?

Connor loves the red bird that hangs from the activity mat. He will spend a good amount of time just batting it around.

Meeting the Shadow Family

Today Dave and I took the kids to the Bountiful Community Pool to meet up with my Great-Aunt Janie (my Grandpa Bud's sister), Great-Uncle Larry, their kids and grandkids. It was really great getting to see some of my family since most of them live so far away. Abby and Jacob had a great time getting to swim in the pool and they really were on their best behavior when meeting everyone. Which is not too hard for them since they are generally very well behaved kids to start with. I did not take Connor into the pool since I did not want him in that much chlorine but Dave did go into the pool so he could swim with the kids. Here are some of the pictures my Aunt and Uncle took while we were at the pool.

Hanging out in the Crib

Connor seems to love just hanging out in his crib and watching his mobile. I am grateful for that since it allows me some time to put him down and get stuff done around the house even when he is awake. I hope he continues to always enjoy some alone time in his room so that I can have some time during the day to work around the house. Here are some cute pictures I took of him while he was having fun in his crib.

Bathtime with Connor

Here are some cute pictures I took on June 7th of Connor getting a bath in the kitchen sink. I did not get to take a picture of Connor's first bath since I was home alone with Connor when it happened, but I thought that he was so darn cute in these pictures that they deserved to be shared.

World Superbike and AMA Racing

Today we went to watch the World Superbike and AMA (American Motorcycle Association) racing at Miller Motorsports. For those of you who do now know what that is, it is the premier motorcycle racing classes for America and the world. It is the best of the best racing motorcycles around the 4 mile track at a world class facility. Dave has been wanting to go to this race since we moved here and it really was a great event. The kids had a good time and Connor even did great. Especially considering he is only 7 weeks old! I was able to get some cute pictures of the kids when we were walking around the event.

Mom and Connor checking out the bikes.

Dad, Abby and Jacob while walking around the event.

At the event were also monster trucks. Abby and Jacob liked looking at the trucks and seeing them up close.

One of the racers on the track during the race. As you can see, we had a good view of the racetrack and the jumbo screen showing the race.
