Today, three years ago I married the greatest man I know. He is my best friend and an amazing father. I could not have asked for a better man to share my life with. To celebrate our three years married, we went out to dinner and watched a pretty good band play. It was heavenly to sit out on the restaurant patio and just relax for a while. I look forward to many more years of celebrating.

The Friendswood, TX 4th of July Parade and Festivities
Sharee, Kaleb and Kage came to Friendswood to join us this year for the 4th of July. We were so happy to have them and they definitely made our weekend alot more fun.
The family and friends (minus me!) before the parade.
Abby and Preston before the parade started. Preston was not in the mood to be photographed.
The boys watching the parade with their cool sunglasses.
Sharee and Kage enjoying the parade.
The older kids.
We love to wave the American Flag!!!
"Mommy!!! Wee-oo-Wee-oo!!!"
Toddler translation to: "Look Mom, the firetruck!!"
Mom and Preston
Pictures of the kids at the town festival after the parade.
The boys enjoying the train ride around the park.
Isn't Dave and awesome Dad?

Fun times before the parade
The kids playing in the living room before we left the house to go to the parade.
Watching them play together melts my heart.
Preston was more interested in watching and eating than actually playing. But hey, he was happy!

He really is Dave's kid
This poor motorcycle has been through 3 little boys now. And man...it still works! (sort of) No matter how many times it has been thrown against a wall or the floor, or drown in the pool....it keeps working. Much to the chagrin of Dave and me. But anyways....Preston has now adopted it as his and even sleeps with it. He really is Dave's son.

4th of July Weekend BBQ
I am so grateful that now that we are back in TX I can see my wonderful friends more often. Sharee came into town with her two boys to spend the weekend with us. The kids really enjoyed swimming and playing while we cooked out. We also had over Wes and Elisa who are some of our new friends in Houston.
Unfortunately I did not get any pictures of the swimming, even though they were so much fun to watch. But I did get some pictures of them playing in the yard afterwards.
The kids playing games.
Abby. Doesn't she look so grown up?
The boys playing. I just love this picture because of Kage in the background. Oh, to be young!
Sharee and Kaleb.
Wes and Elisa.
Connor got ahold of my camera during the evening and took lots of pictures with it. Here are some of the better ones. I have a budding photographer on my hands. He loves to take pictures.

Father's Day Weekend
This Father's Day we went to Bastrop, TX to see my Dad and some of the Nelson family. It was the first time in about 6 years that I have seen alot of my family so it was great to see them, meet their kids, and to introduce my kids to them. All in all it was a great visit and we look forward to doing it again.
Disclaimer: I did not get any pictures during the trip. Boo! So many of these pictures were taken from my cousin Erin's, my cousin Ashley's, or my Dad's collections.
The Nelson Group Portrait which includes the Stark Family, Felder Family, Rust Family, Anderson Family, and Caughron Family. It is amazing what a great family can be produced from one branch of a tree.
Aunt Melissa having some fun with her favorite 3 year old nephew.
A nice picture of Abigail and Jacob.
Papa Vroom Vroom and his older brother Steve. Such a nice picture.
Fun time in the pool with the kids!
Uncle Steve and Aunt Caroline have some great pool toys!
This is one of the sweetest picture I think I have ever seen of my child. This one will be framed in the house for sure.
My daredevil child. I do believe fear is completely lost in his world. He is a great kid to watch even though he gives me a few heart attacks occasionally.
Connor showing off his "underwater" swimming skills. I can't believe he is only 3 years old sometimes.
Our Abby met the Stark's Abby and hit it off wonderfully. It was great to see the 2nd(??) cousins playing together.
Beautiful pictures taken of my Grandmother Beverly. I can only hope to be this beautiful when I am 80 years old.
I pray I will be able to look at Dave with that my love in my eyes when I am that age.
Awww.......
My dad and his Mom. How incredibly sweet.
Visiting Uncle Steve's model train room. It is IMPRESSIVE!! Actually, impressive is an understatement but it is the only word I can think to use.

Boating on Lake Brant, NY
Since alot of the wedding guests were going kayaking, we decided to take the boys out in a rowboat. They loved being on the water and rowing with the paddles.
The Anderson Family Picture
We are ready to go boating!!
My absolute favorite picture from the entire weekend.
This series of pictures makes me laugh. Connor was not trying to hit Preston in the head but man....it is like watching a three stooges movie with them sometimes.
"What Dad??"
Dave teaching them how to row.
A picture of our gorgeous captain once we were out on the water with the boys. Dave was nice enough to do all of the rowing so I could sit and hold on to the boys.
Many of the guests out on the lake enjoying the boats.
Our amazing friends, Derek and Kim, on their kayak.
