Connor lost his first tooth!!!

Tonight Connor lost his first tooth while we were out eating dinner. Since the tooth was not loose and showed no signs of coming out while he was eating pizza, I have to say that Mom did not handle the tooth coming out and the unexpected amount of blood as well as I could have. Luckily we were able to calm Connor down and get him to understand that losing a tooth is completely normal and everyone does it at his age. He is still a little nervous about having a hole in his mouth but he is pretty excited about the toothfairy coming to visit him tonight. I am hoping Mom will handle the next tooth alot better!! I am not loving how much this kid is growing up on me right now. I wish he was still my sweet little boy and not my rapidly growing little man. But atleast I can say I love the little man he currently is.

Third Saturday of Fall Soccer

Pictures from the third Saturday of Fall Soccer.

Today Preston played about a 1/3 of the game and we had NO meltdowns! PROGRESS!!! Unfortunately today Connor and Preston's games were at the same time and since Preston requires alot more attention, due to his history of meltdowns, I missed alot of Connor's game. But I did see Connor score an amazing goal where he took the ball by himself the entire length of the field and scored. We were so proud!!!

Here are some pictures of Preston and his growing love of playing soccer.

My only picture of Connor playing. I was cheering too hard while he was scoring to take any pictures!

Second Saturday of Fall Soccer

Here is some pictures from our second Saturday of Fall Soccer. Preston played about 8 minutes today before he lost it, started his meltdown and had to be taken off the field. You can say.....progress? We will try again next week to see if he wants to play more.

Preston was throwing in the ball after it went out of bounds. He looks happy right?!?

GOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!! Go Preston!!!

He is playing!! Yup.....I know I sound too excited. But hey....his meltdowns are no fun to deal with! Also, I have to mention how much I LOVE the view of the mountains we have while watching the boys play soccer. I feel so blessed to live where we do.
Connor's game. He is loving playing and is doing really good! (And yes, he is playing a team with the exact same jerseys as Preston's team)
Showing some great balancing and ball skills.
 Our happy little man!!

First Saturday of Fall Soccer - 2013

Today starts the Fall 2013 Soccer season for Connor and Preston. This year they are playing with AYSO so we are looking forward to seeing how it compares to Space City Futbol Club. This is Connor's third year in soccer and Preston's first year so this is a day we have been looking forward to for a good part of the summer.

Dave is the coach of Preston's team. Today Preston only wanted to practice and lasted about 5 minutes in the game before he started throwing a fit and had to be taken out of the game. But hey....we will keep bring him to the games and trying to get him to play and have fun.

Preston was showing off his mad soccer skills during his practice time.
Look he is playing and smiling!! (I had to have proof cause his meltdown 5 minutes into the game would lead you to believe he hated soccer)
After the game he was enjoying playing soccer again with Dad and Stephan.
Connor's team. They looked so cute in their uniforms during their practice time.

Yup....that is Connor stealing the ball away from the Orange team. He was so happy during the game!
My happy little soccer man. (And I just LOVE his teammate's face in this picture!)
 Go Connor!!!
GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL!! That is Connor scoring one of his three goals!!

Preston's 4th Birthday!!!

Our youngest little man has turned 4 years old. I can not even imagine how time has flown by so quickly but I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful, sweet, smart, sassy, talented little boy as my son. I can not imagine my life or our family without him.

We had Preston's birthday party at our house and really loved being surrounded by so much love from all of our amazing friends and family.

At the start of the party it started to hail while everyone was outside enjoying the bbq and the bouncy house. Unfortunatley the large hailstorm put a stop to the outside part of the party but luckily we were able to take the party inside and still have a great time. And I have to say my husband is the most awesome man.......he continued to cook the food on the grill even while it was hailing outside. What a great guy!

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Preston!!!! Happy Birthday to you!!"

Make A Wish!!
Preston is beyond spoiled by all of our friends and family. This kid got more toys than he knew what to do with. He loved his big T-Rex!
Big brother Connor loves to help Preston open his gifts.
Now Aiden is getting in on the gift opening action.
Pictures of the great family and friends who attended Preston's party. We feel so blessed to know so many great people here.

These great ladies helped me get the party ready and wrap Preston's gifts! Thank goodness because Mom was not ready when the party started!!

Preston's Concusion

I honestly believe my kids are trying to make sure we are known by name at the doctor's office. Today Preston was playing on the back of the couch while I was cooking breakfast. Next thing I knew I heard a very loud thump and he is screaming on the floor. Turns out he hit the back of his head on the tile floor which is pretty sharp. Luckily, since I am having to deal with so many head injuries with my boys I know how I dress the wound and what signs to look for in the event of a concusion. I honestly thought he was ok since he did not show any signs of a concusion and we would just have a boo-boo on the back of his head. But once Preston started throwing up we had to rush to the doctor's office and it was confirmed he had a minor concusion. Here he is after the injury was dressed and he was watching cartoons. He said he wanted to show Daddy his boo-boo so Daddy would know he was hurt.

Family Night watching the Salt Lake City Bees!

Tonight we took the kids to watch a Salt Lake City Bees baseball game. We were so lucky that Dave's work gave us free tickets to the game and the seats were amazing. They were 4th row behind the visiting team's dugout. So the kids were really able to see the action up close! It was a great family night with amazing weather, great seats, well behaved kids and a winning baseball team. All in all.....we could not have asked for better!

The view from our seats. The bee mascot was even cool enough to come over and give the boys a high five and hug!

Connor showing off his cute face at the start of the game.

Dad and Preston enjoying the game.
Abby and Jacob, looking extremely cute as always. They said they really enjoyed seeing the baseball game so I guess we will have to start going to more!
This little man makes my heart melt. Love that smile!
Preston being a ham as usual. He makes me laugh so much!
Yup, these are my boys.
Dave took the boys to ride the train behind the outfield. Dave let them ride alone and they felt so grown up and happy. Plus it gave me some time to actually watch and enjoy the game!

One of the perks of being so close to the field......you get to see the very close finish to the race between the hot dog, pizza and ice cream cone! FYI....the hot dog won!
