Random Postings.......

Last weekend was a busy weekend for the Andersons. We were actually pretty darn productive. And trust me...if you know us well, you know that we are not normally productive people on the weekends. Especially not me.
So I wanted to take this moment to brag a little on Dave. He finally replaced the light fixture in the kitchen. Since the day we have moved in to our house I have not liked many of the light fixtures. But honestly, we have had bigger fish to fry in the last year so the light fixtures have not been dealt with. But, this weekend we got one changed out! Yeah! Only 14 more to go! As you can see from the two pictures below.....we used to have a dated and pretty unattractive ceiling fan (and if anyone reading this really likes the ceiling fan pictured....sorry to offend. It just was not my taste). And now we have a pretty cool looking light fixture. (and if you dont like the new light fixture....well then keep it to yourself. The new one is my taste) :-)

Also this weekend we drove to Pocatello, Idaho to see/inspect the new enclosed trailer Dave bought for his motorcycle. He was so excited, it really was cute to watch. It was the one tax refund purchase Dave got to make, that was not totally for the house or the new baby. Connor also really seemed to enjoy the small trip and the time away from the normal errands. Plus it also means that Connor has been to one more state in his short life. (A total of 5 now! With atleast one more planned this year)


Then on Saturday Dave and I got alot of framed pictures hung up in the hallway. Another chore that seemed to be a year in the making. We got a beautiful print that my mom-in-law Sue gave Dave of Lake Winnipesaukee finally framed. (Eventually it too will get hung up!) We did 4 loads of laudry but saddly I still have 4 more to go. Cleaned the kids rooms since they will be here this weekend. Went grocery shopping as a family (not a small task these days), bought a crockpot slow-cooker (and I am actually going to try to use it this weekend! Please pray for Dave's poor stomach) and bought a toddler swing to hangup in the backyard for Connor's Birthday. He will be thrilled when he can swing outside on nice weather days without waiting in line at the park. And today is finally a nice weather day! Woo hoo....65 degrees! Now I know most of this sounds mudane and boring but honestly, trying to do it all totally kicked my butt. Most weekends we (especially me) are not this productive around the house. We usually watch sports, do a few necessary chores and find ways to play with Connor and the dogs outside.

This week is also going to be a busy one for us. Connor's 1st Brithday is Thursday (What?? Really??) So Dave and I will be taking off that afternoon to spend some fun time with Connor. And on Saturday afternoon Abby and Jacob will be coming to see us for a week. That means on Sunday we will be doing an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard and having a birthday party for Connor. It should be lots of fun and I promise to post TONS of pictures! Below are just some random pictures I have taken of Connor in the last few days. Hope y'all like!
